Removal
The animals we take, and how
Each case is different, and the rules differ by species. This is what we do and what we'll tell you first.
Squirrels
In attics, soffits and wall gaps. We find the way in, give adults a way out where it's allowed, and close it.
Raccoons
In chimneys, attics and under decks. A chimney cap goes on as part of the fix.
Bats
Rules limit when bats can be excluded, so we tell you what applies before we agree on a date.
Birds in vents and soffits
Many species are federally protected. The answer is often a screen, and a wait.
Skunks and opossums
Under decks, porches and sheds. We find where they get in and block it.
We don't treat for insects, rats or mice, and we don't take dogs and cats. We'll say who does.
Repair
What we fix once they're out
Our carpenters do the roofline work. Shingles and roof replacement stay with a roofer.
Fascia and soffit
Boards that rotted, split or were chewed are replaced and sealed.
Vents and chimney caps
Screens and caps fitted with steel mesh and fasteners, so they stay where they are put.
Gaps at the wall
Where the roof meets a wall, a gap gets metal flashing and a seal, or goes to your roofer.
Attic cleanup
Soiled insulation removed, and replaced if you ask. Its own line on the plan.
Questions
Common questions about the work
How do you remove squirrels?
We find how they got in. Where the state's rules and the species allow it, we fit a one-way exit so adults leave on their own, and we close every other opening. If trapping is the right answer for your house, we say why. We follow the state's rules for each animal.
What if there are babies in the attic?
Taking the mother out alone is the wrong answer. We check for young first, and if they are there the plan changes: timing and method follow the state's rules, and we tell you what we found and what it means for the schedule before work starts.
Which other animals do you take?
Raccoons, skunks, opossums, bats, and birds in vents, case by case. Some species need permits, and some can't be moved at certain times of year. We don't take dogs and cats, and we don't treat for insects, rats or mice. We'll say who does.
Not sure what you have?
Text a photo of where you hear it, or of the roofline. We'll tell you what we think before you book anything.
